Transactional Analysis

Effective management is not only about "what we do", but "How we do it"! It is also about the way in which we say something, as well as what we say.

In other words: an effective manager needs to develop a keen sense of awareness, in terms of the way in which he/she deals with their staff and customers.

Transactional Analysis (T.A. for short), applied to the workplace, is a combination of theory and models, which is based on the way in which human personality works.

Although its primary use is in the caring professions, it is becoming increasingly useful in the management of organisations.

This one-day workshop will look at the basic principles of T.A. and how it works, the basic models and how to harness them, in terms of increasing one's personal effectiveness as a manager.

Aims & Objectives
Participants will gain a basic grounding in:

  • What T.A. is
  • "P.A.C." model and its management application
  • Karpman Drama Triangle and its management application
  • Living one's "life script" and its implications in the workplace for the manager
  • Use of the basic tools for improved management performance

Learning Environment
This workshop will encourage a stimulating and creative environment in which individuals input is acknowledged and praised. It is also one where innovative ideas flourish and provide competitive advantage.
