Team Building

"Working well as part of a team rarely happens by chance - it is usually the result of a forward thinking manager/leader who creates the environment which allows the team to develop naturally."

This one day course will firstly look at the interrelationship between effective leadership and team building/team work.

  • What motivates a person? (looking at Maslow and Herzberg’s theories and applications).
  • How does a person fit-in to the team? - identifying their needs (Belbin model)
  • Looking at the concept of why some teams succeed whilst others fail!
  • Develop the basic ‘toolkit’ required to develop your own respective teams.

The emphasis will be very much practical and participative, using tasks and team building scenarios, as the learning approach, coupled with theory as applicable and appropriate.

Who Will Benefit?
Anybody who currently works as part of a team or has responsibility for managing a team and would like to improve their team’s overall performance.
