Stress Management

It is how you handle stress that makes the difference between being challenged and being overwhelmed. The day shows you how to reduce stress and how to function with it by keeping your energy levels high, maintaining yourself under pressure, and developing the art of relaxation.

Aims & Objectives

  • To provide participants with a greater knowledge and understanding of the effects of stress and pressure upon themselves
  • To provide participants with practical skills and strategies to help them cope more positively with pressure, stress and uncertainty

  • Identifying Individual Learning Goals
  • Understanding Stress - what it is, how it affects us, how it manifests itself
  • Group discussion on personal experiences of managing pressure
  • Strategies for managing our own stress
  • Specific relaxation techniques
  • Using support networks
  • Goal setting and action planning
  • Review of the Day and Evaluation

About the trainer

Marian Dilworth is an experienced Counsellor and Trainer and has a wide range of experience in helping people live more effectively and manage their stress levels.
