Making Effective Presentations

A Memory-Making Strategy. This two-day course will help you develop presenting skills that will ensure that your audience are compelled to "tune" into you and be influenced by what you are saying and doing.

Who should attend?
The course is designed for individuals or organisations that wish to develop their confidence and skills in making presentations. It may be to do with you promoting your organisation, or putting together a justification for funding or staffing. You may wish to recruit new volunteers and present them with information about your organisations. Whatever you reason, this two-day course will assist you in making sure that you "Get Your Message Across".

Making a presentation can be a very exciting task. The aim of this two day Effective Presentation Skills course is to give you the knowledge and practice to enable you to present confidently and professionally

By the time you have completed this course you will be able to:

  • Recognise that time given to planning and preparation is vital to the success of a presentation
  • Create meaningful objectives for presentations
  • Prepare a horizontal plan as a tool to making a presentation
  • Demonstrate the use of question and answer techniques with an audience
  • Develop and use effectively, appropriate visual aids
  • Prepare and deliver a presentation to a group

About the trainer
Marian Dilworth
has worked in Education for a number of years and has a wide range of experience in making and delivering Presentations to a wide audience in educational and business settings.
