Managing the Money!

All too often the tasks of managing the money side of an organisation's business gets shuffled to the bottom of the pack. This one-day course will show you how effective financial management will help you, and your management committee, understand how your organisation works and free up more time to get on with the rest of your work.

This one-day course will look at managing the finance; from day-to-day book-keeping to producing working accounts to help your management group do its job more effectively, including:

  • Setting up a cashbook
  • Cash flow and budgets
  • Management accounts
  • How to cost future projects
  • Producing accounts ready for audit

A series of practical sessions will help you design a book-keeping system that meets the needs of your group. You will be better placed when dealing with you accountant when preparing for audit. About the Trainer
Clive Rawson
is a freelance consultant and trainer with a background in arts development and the voluntary sector. He has worked for independent organisations, local authorities and in higher education. He set up Training & Development Services in 1993 and has worked with a broad range of small and medium-sized voluntary groups, mainly on developing strategic plans and appropriate methods of evaluation.
