Like any commercial organisation, we depend on our "customers"
for our existence. Every person in
your organisation who comes into contact with members of the general
public is an ambassador for you. The course will consider:
The importance of meetings as a method of organisational communication, Common problems associated with meetings, The responsibilities of the chairperson - are just a few of the objectives covered in this course. This is an action packed day for people attracted to the idea of working for themselves. It is not for people looking to prepare a business plan and cashflow forecast. It is for anyone with an interest in self-employment who may benefit from some assistance in identifying a business idea. It will assist people to approach self-employment with a better researched business idea. It will indicate where business ideas come from and develop an awareness of the key importance of market-led rather than skill-led businesses.

The following materials
have been provided by PC Productions Limited - www.pcproductions.co.uk (File size 524KB, Maximum download time 4 min) One of the most important things to do before you create a database is to plan which fields are to be included. A small database for your own use is easy to change and adapt at any time; you can add more fields, delete unwanted ones, etc. However, if you are building a database that is to be used by several people, the more effort you spend finding out what everyone wants from the database, the less time you will need to spend adjusting it later on. This is the first of a series of chapters which builds up a customer database from scratch. In this chapter you will create a simple database table using the Table Wizard. In this chapter you will create a simple presentation consisting of a title page plus six slides. You will use the AutoContent wizard to help you create the presentation quickly and effectively. You will soon create your first presentation, save it, make a couple of changes, view it and then print it. If you do not have a printer, then you will not be able to print your presentation, but you can follow all of the other instructions. (File size 800KB, Maximum download time 4 min) Using the Mail Merge function in Word, you can create standard letters and link them to data files for mass mailing. For example, you can merge a newsletter and an address list. In this, the first of two chapters on Mail Merge you will cover the creation of mail merge documents. (File size 780KB, Maximum download time 4 min) A chart is a graphical representation of figures in a worksheet. It is often far quicker and easier to read and understand a chart than a group of figures. Creating charts is made easy by using the Chart Wizard. |
