Welcome to the VSTU On-line Training Materials menu page.
Over the coming months it will be possible to access and download a wide range of training materials from this section of the website. We are updating this page on a regular basis.

The files for download are supplied in RTF - Rich Text Format and are Zipped.

WinZip (Zipped file) is a standard file compression program, this means that large files can be reduced in size, allowing the transfer of large files between computers and in this case, across the Internet. With the Internet this means that your time waiting for a file to download will be dramatically reduced. The files you can download from this section of the site have an average download time of 3 - 4 minutes, but the materials are well worth the wait!

If you do not have WinZip on your computer you can download it at www.winzip.com

We appreciate the support and help of all the external organisations and businesses
that are assisting us with this section of the site.

One of the most important things to do before you create a database is to plan which fields are to be included. A small database for your own use is easy to change and adapt at any time; you can add more fields, delete unwanted ones, etc. However, if you are building a database that is to be used by several people, the more effort you spend finding out what everyone wants from the database, the less time you will need to spend adjusting it later on.

This is the first of a series of chapters which builds up a customer database from scratch. In this chapter you will create a simple database table using the Table Wizard.
