What is a Spreadsheet Programme?
A spreadsheet is a large grid of rows and columns into which you can enter numbers or formulae to perform calculations. Spreadsheets are used extensively in business planning, but are in no way limited to that area, or to professionals doing complicated calculations. The best thing about a spreadsheet is that you only have to enter the correct figures and formulae - you don't have to perform the calculations yourself!

  • Navigate the worksheet using the mouse and keyboard.
  • Create new workbooks; enter numbers, text and formulae.
  • Open, close, save and print worksheets.
  • Use Page Break Preview
  • Use Print Preview to view a worksheet as it would be printed.
  • Select cells and cell ranges.
  • Apply various fonts, font sizes and styles.
  • Align text within and across cells.
  • Copy and move formulae, numbers and text within a worksheet, and between worksheets in the same workbook.
