1st		Staff Supervision for Managers When practised skillfully, supervision helps staff become more focused and clear about what they are doing and why, boosts motivation and job satisfaction and is the cornerstone of continuing professional development.
6th		Disability Awareness This course is very wide ranging and includes an explanation of how to avoid the use of inappropriate language or behaviour as well as examining the implications of the Disability Discrimination Act.
6th		How to be a Better Trustee Due to a successful ESF bid, the Voluntary Sector Training Unit is running a 10-day Management Committee course FREE to Voluntary Organisations and Community Groups within the TEES VALLEY area. AIMS OF THE PROGRAMME Provide opportunities for Trustees to build on their skills and expertise. Positively recruit new trustees; from sectors that are under-represented in the current make of management boards. Encourage individuals to take part in a structured and accredited programme providing the opportunity to gain management skills and expertise, both for personal development and as a route to employment.
6th		Understanding Charity Accounts The Charities Act 1993 introduced a whole new area of legislation about the form and content of charity accounts. The detailed regulations behind this, together with the new Charities SORP (statement of recommended practice) are now in force. In most cases, any organisation with charitable status will be breaking the law if accounts do not comply.
7th		Further With SAGE This one day course is intended for those who are familiar with or who have some basic knowledge of SAGE. As we proceed through the course, participants will gain further understanding of how to use some of the many functions and how to tailor the system to the particular needs of their organisation.
7th		TROCN Fundraising Skills (10 day) Due to a successful ESF bid, the Voluntary Sector Training Unit is able to offer this 10-day accredited course FREE to Voluntary Organisations and Community Groups (SME's) within the TEES VALLEY area. Increase your knowledge, skills and confidence of a range of funding opportunities. Protect your organisation with a systematic fundraising strategy (no more last minute panics!) Earn yourself a nationally recognised Fundraising Qualification. This course is free so book early and send two people from your organisation in order to strengthen your fundraising skills base.
